Shipping to the UK is always on a next day insured service. Normally there is a standard fee of £25 per package. I am not responsible for any delays, damages or loss once your stationery leaves my studio. However, I always purchase insurance to cover the value of your order. International shipping usually takes around 5-10 days and is subject to customs fees. Please check your country’s customs policies as The Dimpse is not responsible for accounting for or paying these fees

I endeavour to reply to all emails within 3 days however I often receive more emails than I can reply to in a day so please do bear with me and know that your email is very important to me. I will reply to you as soon as I can. If you are an existing customer, the majority of our communication will be via Trello. 

Timings listed on this website are estimates; turnaround times vary greatly from week to week so I advise all customers to liaise with me prior to placing an order to check turnaround times and availability. My standard turn around time is 3-4 months for custom designs and 5 working days for initial design proofs from the semi-custom collection. The time from the initial proof to signing off a final design is very variable, and is mostly dependent on the speed of decision-making, and how many revisions you need – rough estimates are 1-4 weeks for a custom design and 1-2 weeks for a collection design. Printing times from approval of final design to printing are between 4-8 weeks for bespoke commissions. These estimates give plenty of time to manage all aspects of an order, but sometimes circumstances outside of my control can cause delays. This is very unusual, but as it can happen I am unable to guarantee my turnaround times. 

In the unlikely event that you should decide not to proceed with production, the design fee is not refundable as it covers the work undertaken in developing your design board and proofs. I only print according to the approved proof. If replacements are required due to error, they will be charged in full. I strongly recommend you thoroughly check design, grammar, spelling, dates and size prior to final approval. Due to the bespoke nature of my business, quantities cannot be reduced once production commences, and I do not offer returns or refunds. In extreme circumstances, orders may be cancelled after production has commenced. I reserve the right to keep full payment, with any partial refund at my discretion. However, I will always endeavour to be fair. 

Please check the dimensions of the pieces carefully before ordering, as my sizes are not standard in many countries outside of Europe. Also, please be aware of your local postal service envelope minimums as some pieces, such as the Small RSVP Envelopes, may not meet your country’s minimum requirements for processing as standard post. Postal service minimums vary a lot throughout the world, so I place this responsibility with the client. It should particularly be noted that the C7 RSVP Envelope is sized below the US postal service stated minimum. I have never had any issues with envelope sizes, including in the US, but it is worth checking before placing an order. C6 RSVP envelopes do meet this minimum. I have multiple RSVP options so let me know minimums and we can discuss sizes if you are concerned.

I design according to the briefing I receive during our consultation, so it is helpful to be as detailed as possible. My design fee is non-refundable and is due before any design work can commence. The bespoke design fee can be purchased on my website. I aim to provide your design proposal within four weeks. This design fee includes two rounds of revisions. Any further changes to the design will incur a fee of £50 an hour with a minimum of one hour’s work so be sure to gather all your changes in a thorough and concise instruction via email/Trello. Once the design brief is finalised, I proceed to stationery design. I aim to provide your stationery design within three weeks from design approval and receipt of finalised wording. You will receive one round of revisions at this stage. Any fundamental changes to the design will incur a fee of £50 per item of stationery. Changing paper or card stock will incur a fee of £75. Any other fundamental changes will be priced at the time.

Design proofs are uploaded via Trello. It is vital that you check these proofs thoroughly as any errors in the spelling, grammar, layout or date that are approved as a final design and then sent to print are not the responsibility of The Dimpse. I do not offer hard copy proofs. Any reprints will be charged in full.

For bespoke orders, production slots are not scheduled until initial payment has been made. I aim to fulfil these orders within 4-8 weeks after the stationery design has been signed off. Where projects are required to be turned around faster than 4 weeks from final approval of artwork, a rush fee of £200 will be incurred. If full project turnaround is needed faster than 8 weeks in total, and I am able to complete the work within this timeframe, there is a rush fee of £300. I depend on a number of suppliers to fulfill orders, and sometimes delays do happen. In the unlikely event that there are delays beyond my control, I will keep you up to date with the status of your order.

Colours sent through on digital files will not always display accurately on your monitor screen so the printed colour may appear differently. If you have a specific colour in mind, we can use Pantone colours to ensure the closest match.

The bespoke design fee can be purchased direct from my website, however for all other payments I prefer customers to pay via bank transfer as it is fast, reliable and secure. My account information will be provided on all invoices.

I don’t accept returns on any product. If you have any issues with your order please contact me and I will do all I can to resolve them.

All of the stationery designs, artwork, and website content are the property of The Dimpse and not to be reproduced without express written permission. In the case of custom illustration or artwork, these may be available for an additional licensing fee. Digital files of my designs are not available to purchase. If you choose to submit your own artwork as part of your stationery design, you are claiming that you have full rights and permission to use that design. I accept no responsibility for the infringement of copyright or intellectual property. Please note that I will never copy or replicate someone else’s design. Should you supply an example of stationery that you like that is not mine, I will use this for inspiration only and make something unique for you. My design fees will be charged in full.

Unless strict confidentiality is requested by you in advance of commencing the work, The Dimpse can display materials and final prints created for you online, on social media, and at trade fairs or similar events.

Every effort has been made to ensure proper performance and that the content is accurate and up to date.
